FD ARCHIVE : MY SELFIE

If you click here, you can read my post about "My Old Illustration - References". The word "SELFIE" is new in this world [I think], I mean before this I never heard it. Selfie means capture your own face then upload it in the social media [my interpretation]. I realize this symptom exist way back in 2000 because at that time, the famous social media; MySpace & Friendster were popular among us including me hahahah~well, when I create my social space; it required picture profile, then type your background then upload your pictures then bla~bla~bla~yada~yada....etc [you can imagine it!]

It was phenomenon this social media because its easier to connect with many peoples; besides that, you can get to know the girls [I'm straight okay!]. When you want to "tackle" a girl<---this word we use in Malaysia, its mean "get to know closer"; FOR SURE you have to upload your pictures, am I right?! Then come a lot of pictures of you [hello! don't be sacarstic! I know you upload All Day All Night] being like a model hahaha~ playing handsome, macho, sweet, sexy....you know! I feel funny when I'm think of it back! I can't stop laughing and feel ashamed of it. 

Ok! Back to my post, if you read the History of Art - you may realize SELFIE have exist way back. How the artist portrait a person but in many forms of -ism, I think it called 'selfie' but it take hours to draw it hahahaha~the person have to stand still so the artist can paint it to make it perfect. A slight of movement it may cause a disaster hahahahaahaha~

Today, I upload myself in term of selfie. The way I portray myself is using a mirror; I'm not a rich kid which can buy a camera digital. I will sit down on the floor, put the mirror on the chair and I make my face expression for a while; then I sketch it with my creativity and imagination. CAN YOU IMAGINE IT?! Here I show my Illustration.

There are no references like this day you can take a picture then you sketch it back. NOOOO!! It take about a week for me to finish plus some distraction [friend come to see, stomach ache, outing, sleeping, eat drink and etc. hahaaha~]. Not just this I want to upload my illustration; here more:

Above are some of my illustration using color. It is not perfect like you guys who are more skillful in illustration. But who are you to judge me? I am Who I am! I know my limitation but I try at my very best to do illustration even like now, I typing in english are not good as you guys but practices make it better for me. I'm not emotional but I firm with I do as a designer. You have to stand for who you are so that you can improve your skills and knowledge. Enjoy!
